Materials (±2mm):
Tabletop | Wood: 2,5cm thick, specially selected, solid oak wood. It has various shades, dark knots and bright lines running along and across the tabletop. Each product is made to order and therefore, depending on the batch of wood, it also has its own unique features, colour and wood grain. Table top with a slot 2cm width, FSC certificate.
Table top’s pattern: standard pattern (the boards are arranged in one direction)
The table top’s finish: smooth wood
Impregnation: the table top is protected with natural, transparent wood oils
Table base: 2 x 8cm steel frame, powder-coated in black (mat/peel), the frame has an optional oak insert

About the product____________The SLICE BLACK rectangular dining table was made entirely by hand from solid oak wood oiled with a unique blend of oils and waxes to preserve the raw character of the wood. It was a great challenge to achieve the intended result. The metal legs make the table sturdy, while the oak tabletop gives it a natural look. When designing our SLICE BLACK, we were inspired by Japanese dining tables, whose characteristic feature is a longitudinal slit running through the top. This slit is known as a “kireji” and it divides the table into two symmetrical parts. It makes the SLICE BLACK natural oak dining table seem lighter and takes on a minimalist, Scandinavian character. “Kireji” is a simple but powerful symbol that reminds us of the importance of balance in our lives. It also represents the cutting of negative emotions and attachments. In order to fully enjoy a meal, it is important to let go of any negative thoughts or feelings. Modern dining table SLICE BLACK is a reminder to enjoy the good things in life, but also to let go of the things that hold us back. This allows one to focus on the present moment and savour the food and company.
