Raw oak finishing – what is that?

Raw oak finishing is a long-lasting process. It takes a lot of testing to get the perfect oil that will protect oak wood while also highlighting its beautiful grain and structure. In our workshop, we apply up to 5 layers of oil and wax on oak wood. The process of oiling the wood lasts at least 2 weeks. Thanks to patience and many oil tests, we are able to achieve the effect of natural, raw, unique and fully preserved wood, without a visible layer on it. This type of finish allows the natural color and grain of the wood to show through and preserve the wood’s raw, natural character. Raw oak finishing is often used in boho, Scandinavian and minimalistic styles and is perfect for people who like simplicity, bright colors and living according to nature.
